Violent Body is about how I felt my body moved through the world carrying layers of violence confined to societal binary standards after years of complex abuse. This piece is a political statement to becoming a statistic of childhood sexual abuse and complex traumas while living in an all encompassing white world and culturally repressive social, economic, and political climate.  The body in this painting is a depiction of becoming bigger then my circumstances and attempting to break those confining barriers, no longer allowing for myself to be abused, belittled, or silenced. As a kid, how the fuck else was I suppose to exit the confines of what was imposed on me? Like, what the fuck?
